Yes!  Camp Betsey Cox has a brother camp, Camp Sangamon, just across a horse pasture from our site.  And yes….we enjoy getting together with the Sangamon community. Weekly, BC campers may choose to participate in a social event, conveniently called a “Social”!  These are theme occasions that allow for creative costuming and group dancing!  There’s an 80s social and a Disco Social, there are old-fashioned contra dances and other themed dances as the staff create.  Campers can choose to participate or to enjoy other evening activities if they prefer.  Different from some school dances, our socials create all-camp spirit and encourage fun friendships rather than couples.  Enthusiasm for these Wednesday night events runs high!
