Third session offers campers a chance to experience life as it was in 19th century Vermont. This popular day begins with pre-breakfast chores reflective of Vermont’s agricultural history. Cabin groups work away on various projects around camp. Early chores are followed by a sumptuous old-Vermont breakfast.
The day is then filled with many old-fashioned activities from spinning wool to bread baking to spelling bees, marbles and jacks, stirring down maple syrup into maple candy, and nail-pounding contests. Cabins from both Betsey Cox and Sangamon work together to create an old-fashioned country fair in the evening.
