Camp Betsey Cox believes in making camp possible for families.
Founder Jean Smith Davies, grew up at Camp Sangamon and started Betsey Cox because she believed in a unique Camp and all it would have to offer young people. Above she is pictured on the camp tractor; in fact, her wedding gift when she founded Betsey Cox. That very same tractor still actively does camp work. Jean’s values about Betsey Cox remain clear: imagination, creativity and good work!
Jean believed that a community works best when all its members contribute. At Betsey Cox we work with each family individually, if support is needed, to be sure camp is possible for their campers. We ask for tuition contributions from each family, while we contribute with campership, tuition discounts, and payment plans. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or comments.
