Yes!  Camp Betsey Cox has a brother camp, Camp Sangamon for Boys, just across a horse pasture from our site.  And yes….we enjoy getting together with the Sangamon community as interest in our girls allow.  Weekly, girls may choose to participate in a social event, conveniently called a “Social”!  These are theme occasions that allow for creative costuming and group dancing!  There’s an 80s social and a Disco Social, there are old-fashioned contra dances and other themed dances as the staff create.  Girls can choose to participate or to enjoy other evening activities if they prefer.  Different from school dances, our socials create all-camp spirit rather than couples.  Enthusiasm for these Wednesday night events runs high!
