Archery has been a popular camp sport forever! Â Betsey Cox campers shoot bulls’ eyes, they clout shoot, they fire atlatls (and learn what they are!). Tournaments, either within camp or with Sangamon archers, augment the instructional program and offer our girls the chance to prove their skills!
Archery is not something I ever imagined I would be doing, which is what I love so much about it. I love telling people that I can do archery and seeing their reactions because it is a pretty unique skill. I also find that being able to do archery makes me feel very cool and empowered, like I'm a character in a novel or movie.
